For an engine of 1000cc Ironhead Harley Davidson, is it a modern, simpler system of oil that can be used?

I am rebuilding a 1000cc Ironhead and I am looking for an easier way to the oil tank, filter and lines. Suggestions are appreciated. In his 1980 Ironhead Model Roadster. XLS

If you follow the manual, it should be easy to gauge your oil system. you can mount the tank anywhere (above the oil pump, that is) and there are only three lines in the feed tank, performance and drain. there are only two on the fuel pump and back. the return line should run () filter, then into the tank through.
