Harley Davidson Softail 1987?

I bought a used 1987 Softtail, 15,000 miles and the ramp the other day and bolts were loose on the block and push tappid bent and broken block Tappit. Guess locks were not tighted. I need a manual, but Does anyone know a site where you can download a parts manual.

As technology, dealerships, I worked very rarely manuals older (before 1990). I bought manuals off e-bay for about 3 years now. I would bet that this is more blocks than push buttons and broken curves are damaged. (probably marked Or push deformed classified cam) and managers need to detach and inspect the pistons. Any way you look, the top end assembly must be inspected to ascertain what is and what is not damaged. I saw a damaged valve and engine destroyed whole point it was not worth rebuilding. It does not scare you, but only you know. If someone hits you with a repair bill of over $ 2200.00 and then take the bike from a dealer and have re-Man engine which way it comes with a 1 year warranty with unlimited mileage from Harley. Visit the Harley for Re-info man. http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Engines/engine_reman.jsp?locale = Pseudo = en_US & Walter

harley davidson gear shifter

harley davidson gear shifter
How do you change the shifter shaft bushings on a 1974 Harley Davidson Sportster?

The engine is on the bench, the trap is released and the chain Sprocked & cover are off. The housing must be opened again to shim the cam gear. Drift Out? hydraulic press? Hot / Cold? Push the old with the new?

Do not hold the cam gear. There was a service bulletin from the factory Harley (Service Bulletin HD M-0860) on the cam wedges. The manual Maintenance told to do, but they often end up chewed and laying in the bottom of your chest cam as bits of mangled metal if you are lucky enough not to move through the cam gear and connect them up and crack the case - which is most likely why Harley came with the service bulletin. It is better to let the cam work. I think your bike is the last year of changes on the right side Sportster? I am sure I hit my shaft shifter bushing with a deep socket on the outside casing and a socket shallow most of the other side to support the aluminum on the other side .... but it's been a while. If you do not have a tree shifter fluted This would good time to replace it. Stocks have grooves on them and the gear lever can move up and down the tree. They make a barb which is much better. Do not replace the rings came in the case outside, unless you absolutely need. They will need to be bored online if you replace them.

harley davidson evolution

What is the timetable for a Harley Davidson Evolution engine?

I need to know if I need to advance or retard timing of return. My bike when I cough I just try to maintain momentum

Craig is right its probably not your timing. like a vacuum leak you are you just your collectors? when I check my calendar I use a dial back setting fire to 35 degrees and 2500 rpm but I use 91 octane and never below 2 Grand LUG too have a cam 308, 32 might be safer for the stock on 87 octane I can not see through the plastic plugs So I take a piece of window glass in front of the hole. if you do it when the engines cold oil is thick it wont be too big of a mess in the half minute it takes to verify. if you need to adjust it before it shut down or you'll need a roll of towels Paper

How do I move the gear pedal forward on a Kawasaki 550GT?

My brother just bought a 2nd hand Kawasaki 550GT (custom CHOP) and seeks to move the gear pedal down closer to the front of the bike. However, the heat from the engine block could become a problem when riding. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could fit a shifter gear or more corresponding a set of front end converters and rear brake while you're at it to match things.
