Why do tranny fluid leaking from oil cooler motorcycle?

1980 Harley Sportster XLS oil cooler is spraying tranny fluid Out of It what seal / / or the seals are blown, do I need to replace the oil cooler and seal in a particular way or order so, what would it be? This recasting of a bike that has sat for 2-3 years. and had no engine. Electricity is good, brakes are strong. I cleaned the CARB and reset it, replaced the push / pull its throttle perfect, began his place and noticed the loss of compression, then flash back. I went around it off and thats when I noticed fluid leaking of the cooler. I saw smoke near the regulator, but it always seems good. I replaced the generator brushes, starter is clean, all breakers replaced and new wiring in place. I can not find the line of the oil. I guess I will lift the bike and follow through. May I need diagrams. Well thats it please help meeeeee!

Never heard of a Harley Davidson with a trans cooler oil. Are you sure its an oil cooler or trans, it is just a "secondary market" engine oil cooler? Anyway, you do not need it except what's really hot (over 230 degrees). I use AMSOIL 20W50 synthetic motor oil in my 2003 Heritage Softail .... Engine, Primary and Trans. and lowered my operating temperature 10 to 15 degrees. http://www.firstandfinestsynthetics.com/ If you really want to leave it there but, Check equipment when the lines are connected to the cooler. The oil may be leaking from a loose connection and a descendant of the line Lowest point to where its dripping. If the connections arent loose, remove and check the O-rings or gaskets which May be corrupted or missing.

How do you get your motorcycle handlebars to stay tight when they are tight as tight as they go?

I recently made some 18 "ape hangers on my Harley and Chopper they are occasionally a little loose when I hit some bumps in the road. What is the best way to keep tight? I've also tightened the bolts will go for sure.

Do you have knurling the mating surface of the new bar and riser. I've seen bars with Out and can not imagine they would stay put any ancient Chinese secret you tried. tite lock help with bolts loose.

Motorcycle Racing?

I was wondering. You have these motorcycle riders. They look tight turns - the bike is like 35 degrees on the ground and on their knees are touching. Crazy. It is correct for the knees to at least skim the road, accidentally, or if they come into contact will they fly? Because in other to touch the ground to a halt, this part of your body will be to stop momentarily. Therefore I think they would crash. But how did they touch the ground?

Is there a sewing addhesive makes iron-on patch on your leather jacket? Aaaaaaaaaaaa ask! They are patches of Jesus Tough Guy's. And if you want to laugh at me for poseing,,, go ahead!

GAK! Seriously! Unless you are a member of a complete patch club, to avoid the patch covered with leather vest! This is a one way ticket to Poseurville! There are tons of guys who really ride cruisers, but if you want to be laughed at by real motorcyclists, begin to dress like you belong to a club avoided when you are really just a guy Suburban Harley with a payment to every month! If you do though? Wear the jacket and the patch to a shop for it to be sewn on. If you must consider at least be a poseur of the highest quality!

How can I fight the stigma Honda Goldwing?

I have deleted all visible "Honda" and "Goldwing" badges and labels on my GL 1500, and placed "Harley-Davidson" badges and stickers on my bike. I know I will not deceive a real biker, but I just want to impress ordinary people and not be embarrassed to drive a Goldwing. What do you recommend?

Save the money you spend on stickers, do not send more money in Japan, buy a motorcycle "real" and not "bike" and get the sensation of something of value between your legs. Anyone who thinks HD is useless has never been strong, near their crotch.

What is the difference between motorcycle jackets and gloves and jackets and gloves for motocross?

I bought a fox 360 jacket because the owner said it was a motorcycle jacket. After buying and going online, I see it jacket moto-cross.

I've never seen anyone race in motocross jacket, so I do not know what it is they require one. As children my son used to wear mudsuits muddy day really bad but now older, they wear only a light rain jacket if it comes to about the worst weather you could ride in and it sure is not nothing like you describe.

Can you put a patch anywhere on a leather biker jacket?

I am not a biker, my brother belonged to the motorcycle club and died in January of an accident. The club had made spots on his honor and gave one to me. I ended up with his leather biker jacket and I want patch placed on the mantle. Can it go nowhere is it acceptable to do that?

If it is a patch fee, he must go on left side of the front or sleeve (nearest the heart) and can be easily fixed with glue fabric (available in all centers and some sewing drug stores).
