I noticed that some people that motorcycle helmets must wear helmets that cover their faces DONT. It resembles a German army helmet ww2. Is this safe to have on when going on the highway?

The half-shell helmets are a farce. They may protect your skull, but your face is at risk of some serious damage. Road rash, broken bones, exposed to tricks to steal the car windows (cigarette butts), bugs and other stuff. I always wore a helmet when I got my bike I plan to buy another full face helmet when I get my next bike. My last helmet has some serious scratches on the chin bar. With an open face helmet, which could be a broken jaw and it would have been very rash challenge of the road. Its your choice. I prefer be safe than sorry.
